Performing Arts Specialist Teacher

Masters in Drama Education and Theatre Arts, Philippine Normal University

For seventeen years, Jennifer has taught Drama, Performing Arts and English to students ranging from kindergarten to Year 12 in various schools in the Philippines and Vietnam. She has been artistic director in many school drama groups and has directed numerous school productions including musicals, pantos, sketch shows, and full-length plays. Aside from acting, script writing and directing, she is also passionate about the performing arts in general- she can sing, conduct choirs and play various musical instruments and has set up student and faculty rock bands and marching bands in her previous schools. She is also skilled in many dance forms, mime, improv and physical theatre. She also has extensive experience in choreographing and directing school shows including concerts, arts festivals, talent shows, Halloween, Christmas and Tet programs. She aims not only to hone her students in the performing arts but also to challenge them to use their creative skills to enrich their culture and inspire others. Jennifer is also active in the theatre scene in HCMC and is one of the actor-directors of the Saigon Players, a non-profit, community theatre group in Saigon. She has been involved with them since 2009- directing and acting in more than twenty shows, profits of which have been donated to local charities.
