Fionnuala Brophy

Reception Class Teacher

BA Hons in History and Liberal Art, Queens University, Belfast

PGCE, University Of Gloucestershire

Fionnuala was born in Belfast, Ireland, where she grew up with her parents and three brothers. She moved to London to commence her teaching career in a multi-cultural environment. After graduating from her PGCE in 2013, Fionnulala began teaching in a one-form entry, multi-national, independent school in London. Within this time she worked both in the Early Years department and Key Stage One, while also holding the role of Science Coordinator. From her time spent within the Early Year’s environment, she developed a love and passion for working with children just starting on their academic journey. Over the summer of 2017, Fionnuala spent her free time working as an online English teacher, teaching children of all ages from Beijing. Through this line of teaching she felt inspired and motivated to teach on an international scale. Fionnuala is incredibly exited to be teaching at Saigon Star International School and can see a very bright future working in the Early Years department. Outside of teaching, she hopes to broaden her knowledge of South-East Asia by travelling and exploring the various cultures. She also loves music, art and reading and can’t wait to be influenced in these areas by Asian traditions.
