Our Curriculum

Since the school’s inception in 2006, Saigon Star has delivered the globally-recognised National Curriculum for England, and, in 2013, became one of the first schools in Vietnam to adopt the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). We have since added the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) for 2-5 year olds and the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) for 11-14 years olds.

Overall, we strive to deliver a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum to all learners, one that gives learners the necessary knowledge, skills and understanding to be successful in the 21st Century, whilst also aiming to develop essential personal attitudes and aptitudes that will help them to make meaningful contributions to society, both now and in the future.

In the core subjects of English and Maths, children complete standardised UK assessments which enables teachers to track and monitor student progress and performance against international benchmarks. At the end of Year 6, children take Cambridge exams for the first time, which provides learners with a certificate that is recognised worldwide.
