Our School At A Glance
Saigon Star International School celebrated its 10 year anniversary in 2016, yet remains a family-size school with a population of less than 150 students.
Having started life in a converted French villa in the heart of city, the school moved to a new, purpose built campus in 2010 within the new residential area of District 2, where it is now surrounded by green spaces, cleaner air and the occasional roaming pack of friendly water buffalo.
With regards to the curriculum, we believe that today’s learners need more than just good academic skills to be successful. By delivering the English National Curriculum, and supplementing it with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), we believe we are able to deliver a truly first-class international education, and help our learners to acquire the highly-developed personal skills, attitudes and aptitudes needed in the 21st Century.
Saigon Star adopted the IPC in September 2013 as well as the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) upon its release in September 2016. We have also adopted the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) as we begin to expand our provision into middle years education from August 2017.
Class-sizes typically range from between 16-20- students, guaranteeing every child the individual attention they deserve.
Elsewhere, we strongly believe that students learn better when home and school work together closely. That is why we put so much time, thought and effort into offering ‘that personal touch’ to the valued members of our community. High quality communication, approachable teachers and regular school events are a big part of what we do to foster a real sense of school community between parents, teachers and learners.
As a family-size school, we don’t employ expensive marketing and advertising teams; we believe our parents, teachers and students are our best advocates.
